University Church of Christ
To call all people to be fully devoted followers of Jesus who pursue his lifestyle of celebrating God, serving others, and sharing God’s love. We want to be a church that is FOR the city – not separate from or against it. This means reaching out to and serving the surrounding community, all while preaching the good news of Jesus Christ, and not just sitting and waiting for the lost to come to us. It also means training each of our members to be active missionaries in their daily lives.
We offer active children’s, youth and campus ministries, as well as home-based small groups, Sunday and Wednesday Bible classes and engaging worship opportunities. Whether you are already a committed Christian or just beginning to learn about Jesus, you are welcome at any of our activities.

Greg and his wife Tiffany both grew up in a small town south of Fort Worth, Texas. They were high school sweet hearts and got married in May of 2003. They both attended Texas Tech and have a mild obsession with all things from Texas. They moved to Las Cruces in 2004 to lead the campus ministry of UCC, known as “Aggies for Christ”. In Nov 2008 the elders asked Greg to take over the main preaching and teaching duties at UCC. Greg preaches most Sunday mornings, helps with vision and direction for UCC and overseas the events and vision for Aggies for Christ.
Greg and Tiffany have two daughters, Brynlee and Bailee. They have added more joy in their lives than they ever thought possible.
Greg’s vision for UCC is twofold:
1. That every person that comes into contact with UCC would see the centrality of the gospel in all things, that we would live, eat, and breathe the gospel every day.
2. That we would NOT measure growth by “members”, rather by individuals that are being missional in their communities.
“In the day to day business of the church, it is tempting for ministers to forget that they are not building their kingdom, but God’s kingdom. I want to remember that my job is to lift up His name. The Word promises that ‘… the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.’ Habakkuk 2:14. I want to be part of what God is doing. My ambition is to impact the world for Him and His kingdom. That begins in part with Las Cruces, but that is only the beginning…”

Tyler came to Las Cruces from Lubbock, Texas, in August of 2008 to work as an intern and worship leader for the Aggies For Christ campus ministry. Over time, the ministry grew, and the church decided to adopt an instrumental service into its Sunday worship schedule. Tyler still works with and leads worship for AFC, and also leads the church’s instrumental service and oversees and coordinates the other worship services, events, and media for the church.
